Launching a New Blog

The new IndyCar web site launched just over a month ago with a new focus on the fan. The site features better integration of video content, a focus on the social experience (such as Twitter), a rich selection of images through the site and Flickr page, the incorporation of nomee cards and much more. We’re also working behind-the-scenes to bring you more innovative web content. We love the IndyCar series and think you should too. IndyCar is becoming more active online, determined to connect with our fans in new ways. Here’s a picture from the 2010 opener in Brazil, from Flickr user Crystian Cruz.

The storm arrives in Sao Paulo

We’re launching this new blog, today too. It incorporates Liza’s previous blog, LIZOD and includes links to all of the other blogs we love, such as Silent Pagoda, Versus, My Name is IRL, pressdog, Indy Racing Revolution and many more. It’s another step we’re taking in an effort to provide our fans with quality and innovative online experiences. Expect a lot of insider information related to the IZOD IndyCar Series, from a variety of different perspectives and areas of expertise. Starting in Barber, we’ll begin adding new posts and you’ll slowly be introduced to new authors from within the organization. There are a million racing stories. This blog will attempt to capture some of them.

In the meantime, please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions or feel free to ask questions. Stay tuned…
