#INDYCAR Fast Six: What’s Trending in @INDYCAR (Feb. 12 – 19)?

When performing artist and Toronto native Drake said he was “running through the 6 with his woes” in this popular hip-hop song, linguists translated this phrase to mean “hanging out in Toronto with friends.” During NBA All-Star weekend, James Hinchcliffe ran through the 6 with his woes, and together Hinchcliffe, Conor Daly and Josef Newgarden charged their way onto the court of the biggest game and suited up for the hottest parties.

A gold medal winning Olympian, multi platinum selling recording artist Snoop Dogg, and a bow tie. Way to contribute to this gathering, Hinch. @tessab25 @maximeventsca #NBAAllStarTO

Along the way, Newgarden tested the knowledge of attending fans on how well they know their NBA players. Based on this video, not very well at all. Hint: Ryan Hunter-Reay wasn’t even close to winning the three-point competition.

Another week, another star-studded birthday party for Marco Andretti. Happy birthday from all of us at INDYCAR, Ice T.

Charlie Kimball joined Colts players, cheerleaders and media at the Colts Complex this week for a 40-yard dash charity competition. Kimball and his team raised $5,000 for YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.

Simon Pagenaud and girlfriend Hailey stopped by the set of Fox TV show “Gotham” for a private tour. Although the entire studio is filmed with made-for-television props, I’d like to think that this is what Pagenaud’s home office actually looks like. And yes, he did make a cameo in the Andretti celebrity Instagram above.

Casually hanging out in the secret office of Mr.Wayne. Thanks @hossridesagain for the tour of the #GCPD and the rest of the @gothamonfox set! #waynemanor #wayneenterprise #BUTCH #gotham @davidamazouz I'd make a great assistant!

…to boldly go where no man has gone before. Although we’re pretty sure Star Trek’s Worf, Michael Dorn, was looking for a different kind of race to answer his question. But Data, Brent Spiner, has the same mindset as us at INDYCAR: the question doesn’t really matter, Indy 500 is always the answer.

And to round out this week’s Fast Six, Belardi Racing driver Zach Veach wrote a story about that time one-third of the Indy Lights field ventured off into the wilderness together to go rock climbing. Thank the racing gods they all returned safely:
