Party in the Penn

Marco Andretti likes to hang out at home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. But that doesn’t mean he’s antisocial. Andretti just gets all his friends to come to him. A cast of motorsports stars showed up to his latest soiree, held just after the Honda Indy 200 at Mid- Ohio and the NASCAR race at Pocono, including fellow INDYCAR drivers James Hinchcliffe and Conor Daly and NASCAR’s Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart.

We know all of this, of course, because of Twitter:

A run for the roses

Meanwhile, Mid-Ohio race winner Simon Pagenaud was having his celebration with girlfriend, Hailey McDermott, and it made for some pretty adorable social media posts.

He did it again! What an inspiration he is. P1 baby!!! #22tothefront @simonpagenaud

Put a sock (on) it

And at the July 31 race in Lexington, Ohio, the paddock marked the birthday of the late Justin Wilson with love-filled posts on social media channels and even the honorary wearing of his socks. If you love them, you can get a pair through the Indianapolis Motor Speedway shop: http://shop.ims.com/justin-wilson-tribute-uswag-socks/. Proceeds are donated to Wilson’s charity, Dyslexia Institute of Indiana.

Home Sweet Home

Also, in Mid-Ohio, Graham Rahal was busy. It’s his home track and he was the defending Honda Indy 200 winner, so that’s to be expected. Looks like team owner David Letterman even snapped a photo with the driver.

Lucky Dog

Back home in Indianapolis, James Hinchcliffe has welcomed a new addition to the family. Meet Lucy.

My ding-a-ling

It’s a good day when you wake up to new INDYCAR driver memes. Thanks to their appearance Sunday on “Celebrity Family Feud,” that’s exactly what happened Monday.
