It’s the off-season and while most of us are really starting to miss the sights, sounds and smells of the Verizon IndyCar Series it also allows us to knock out some important projects.

We’ve completed several new projects over the course of 2014.  We launched a new website for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS.com), a new blog for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (blog.ims.com) and now we’ve officially launched the new IndyCar blog!  We’ve got big plans for our new digs in 2015.  You’ll see more weekly content during the off-season and more content than you can handle during the season.  We’re really going to bring the lifestyle aspect of the Verizon IndyCar Series to life here in our new home.

The new and improved Verizon IndyCar Series blog!

Our #TrackChat series with Cathy Kightlinger will be a big part of this.  Cathy will take you behind the scenes and bring you all the latest lifestyle info from the paddock.  Have questions or suggestions for her?  Make sure to send us a tweet and tag #TrackChat.

So this new design?  What’s the big deal, you ask?  Well, aside from it being a major design improvement this spot is fully-responsive.  What’s that mean?  Check it out on your Verizon powered mobile device, tablet or your desktop computer, the experience will be exactly the same.  You’ll see more and more of these types of improvements from us in the coming months.  We’re really focused on improving the digital experience for our fans.

Overall, we want this to be a space that is controlled by you, the fans.  So if you have suggestions for a series of blogs written on a specific topic tell us in the comments below.  Have a question about the series you’ve always wanted answered? Drop it in the comments below and we’ll get the answers for you.  We’ll bring in guest writers from around the world of racing, drivers, team owners, fan bloggers, VIP’s and all kinds of different perspectives to keep those racing juices flowing all year long.
