It’s front and center – right between the IZOD IndyCar Series logo and the familiar Target bulls-eye of Dario Franchitti’s red firesuit.
So the obvious question is whether Franchitti – or Target Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Scott Dixon – lobbied to get Huggies, a popular brand of disposable diapers, such prominent visual content. After all, think of the benefit to the Dixons – wife Emma and 10-month-old daughter Poppy.
“That’s a good idea,” Franchitti says. “Hey, Dixie, do you know anything about this?”
Dixon divulges nothing … but that sly smile, hmm. “I wish we would get free diapers,” he says. “We use the Target discount card.”
OK, that theory is tossed in the trash with the soiled diaper. So how about this one: just to the right (if you look at the photo above) is an advertisement for Breathe Right, which Franchitti wears while he’s on the track in the No. 10 car, working out, possibly while showering.
Franchitti grins, which is all that’s needed to confirm he doesn’t need a Target discount card to replenish his stock.
