We just spent most of last week in Long Beach and Los Angeles. It was a great week, with great weather, great racing and lots of stars. The Long Beach race is a crazy atmosphere and a great time. We took tons of pictures over the weekend – on-track action, pit lane activity, fans shots, driver photos and lots more. The celebs were also in attendance, out and about throughout the week, and here’s my celebrity recap from the weekend. I probably missed someone, but I figured you would let me know. So here’s a quick recap.

Musician/Producer David Foster and his foundation were involved at the Long Beach GP with Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing and Hideki Mutoh’s IndyCar. Check out the pic below.

This is more than a joyride to a summer cookout, people.  Can you say Hollywood? Can you say red carpet? Can you say Mark Wahlberg? (can you say yum)

In celebration of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, this Thurs., April 15, IZOD IndyCar is taking over Hollywood Blvd from Grand to Highland Ave. We’ll showcase our cars and stars in front of the Kodak Theater and Jimmy Kimmel studios. As I’ve said before, IZOD is all about taking our amazing sport OUT to the people. Throw in a bunch of celebs and an awesome band and you’ve got yourself a friggin’ shindig.

Let’s start with the cars. We’re showcasing past and present with current show cars, as well as vintage cars from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum. Along with other cool autos, a special drifting demonstration will take place and Davey Hamilton will showcase the power of our Honda engines.

But the highlight of the night will be our very own IZOD IndyCar Mobile Pit Stop Challenge. Along with their crews, Dan Wheldon, Raphael Matos, Hideki Mutoh, Alex Tagliani, Justin Wilson and Mike Conway will battle it out for some serious bragging rights. Not only has a street pit stop challenge of this size never been done before, but there will be several surprises you won’t want to miss!

Nearly the entire field of IZOD IndyCar drivers will be on hand to hang out and sign autographs for fans. They are the guests of honor along with celebs like Adrian Grenier, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Statham and more. The night caps off with special performance by Camp Freddy, a creation of Dave Navarro and one of the hottest all-star rock bands in the country.
